We would like to invite you to join us for the upcoming 3rd APAC conference on AKI and CRRT presented by the Malaysian Society of Nephrology in collaboration with the CRRT Inc that hosts the annual International Conference on Advances in Critical Care Nephrology - AKI & CRRT which
completed its 24th year in 2019. The APAC conference brings the highlights of the San Diego Conference to provide a comprehensive coverage of the rapidly developing field of Critical Care Nephrology, AKI and CRRT. It highlights the recent advances in our understanding of pathophysiology
of critical illness, acute kidney injury, emerging strategies in the management of sepsis, multi-organ failure, development and use of biomarkers, technical advances in CRRT and the appropriate utilization of these techniques. A mix of invited lectures, controversies, interactive
workshops, tutorials, poster sessions with panel discussions and meet the expert sessions are planned to continue the tradition of multidisciplinary interactions throughout the conference. The conference is enhanced with two Pre-Conference workshops focused on current topics in AKI
management targeted at physicians and CRRT training workshops for both physicians and nurses offering case based interactive training to optimize the delivery of CRRT for multi-organ support. Our industry partners showcase the latest technologies providing an exceptional opportunity to
explore and experience the rapidly changing field of extracorporeal organ support (ECOS).
We believe the conference provides a unique environment to foster learning and mutually beneficial communications and collaborations and network with participants from all over the world. An international faculty coupled with local experts has been engaged to share their knowledge
and bring a wealth of experience to define best practices for managing patients with AKI and CRRT. We hope that you will join us to share your knowledge and experience.
We look forward to welcoming you to Kuala Lumpur.
Prof. Dr. Ravindra Mehta
International Advisor, 3rd AP AKI CRRT Congress
We would like to invite you to join us for the upcoming 3rd Asia Pacific Acute Kidney Injury and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (3rd Asia Pacific AKI CRRT 2019) Congress organised by the Malaysian Society of Nephrology (MSN) in collaboration with Professor
Ravindra Mehta of CRRT Inc. to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia . This year we are also very fortunate to have the Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology (APCN) as co-organizers providing a special focus in the scientific programme to issues pertinent to the Asian Pacific Region.
This meeting continues to follow the original concept of bringing the highlights of the San Diego AKI CRRT International Conference, now in its 24th year with comprehensive coverage in the area of AKI and Critical Care Nephrology, to this region.
The conference will consist of Plenary sessions , a series of Invited lectures, Interactive Workshops, Poster sessions and Meet the Expert sessions . There will be a special parallel APCN Workshop focussing on issues related to AKI and CRRT in various Asia Pacific countries.
We have also organised a Pre-congress meeting with 2 parallel tracts focussing on topics in AKI management aimed at Physicians,Intensivists, Nephrology trainees and Nurses. There will also be two Pre- Congress CRRT training workshops for both Physicians and Nurses offering hands-on
training to optimize the delivery of CRRT.
Due to the rapidly developing field of critical care nephrology, acute kidney injury and continuous renal replacement therapy, the 3rd Asia Pacific AKI CRRT aims to provide a forum to exchange information and knowledge in acute kidney injury (AKI) pathophysiology, emerging
strategies in detection, management as well as utilization of technical advances in CRRT.
We believe that the takeaway from this unique forum will benefit physicians, nurses and allied personnel to improve patient care. This Congress is in line with the International Society of Nephrology's (ISN) 0by25 initiative to have zero preventable deaths from AKI by 2025.
Topics/Highlights include the following:
Management of AKI in the Digital Era
Organ Cross Talk in Critically Ill Patients
