We would like to invite you to join us for the upcoming 3rd Asia Pacific Acute Kidney Injury and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (3rd Asia Pacific AKI CRRT 2019) Congress organised by the Malaysian Society of Nephrology (MSN) in collaboration with Professor Ravindra Mehta of CRRT Inc. to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia . This year we are also very fortunate to have the Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology (APCN) as co-organizers providing a special focus in the scientific programme to issues pertinent to the Asian Pacific Region.
This meeting continues to follow the original concept of bringing the highlights of the San Diego AKI CRRT International Conference, now in its 24th year with comprehensive coverage in the area of AKI and Critical Care Nephrology, to this region.
The conference will consist of Plenary sessions , a series of Invited lectures, Interactive Workshops, Poster sessions and Meet the Expert sessions . There will be a special parallel APCN Workshop focussing on issues related to AKI and CRRT in various Asia Pacific countries.
We have also organised a Pre-congress meeting with 2 parallel tracts focussing on topics in AKI management aimed at Physicians,Intensivists, Nephrology trainees and Nurses. There will also be two Pre- Congress CRRT training workshops for both Physicians and Nurses offering hands-on training to optimize the delivery of CRRT.
Due to the rapidly developing field of critical care nephrology, acute kidney injury and continuous renal replacement therapy, the 3rd Asia Pacific AKI CRRT aims to provide a forum to exchange information and knowledge in acute kidney injury (AKI) pathophysiology, emerging strategies in detection, management as well as utilization of technical advances in CRRT.
We believe that the takeaway from this unique forum will benefit physicians, nurses and allied personnel to improve patient care. This Congress is in line with the International Society of Nephrology's (ISN) 0by25 initiative to have zero preventable deaths from AKI by 2025.
Topics/Highlights include the following:
Management of AKI in the Digital Era
Organ Cross Talk in Critically Ill Patients
Extracorporeal Organ Support (ECOS): for Multi Organ Failure and Sepsis
Controversies & Challenges in ICU Management
AKI in Children: What Have We Learnt?
Novel Strategies in AKI Management
New Advances in the Treatment of Sepsis
AKI in Asia Pacific Regions
Pathophysiology of AKI
Economics & Burden of AKI
New Trials in AKI
A very distinguished International faculty with local experts has been invited to share their knowledge and to offer their expertise for managing patients with AKI and CRRT. We hope that you will join us and we look forward to welcoming you to Kuala Lumpur.
